Final Fantasy Tactics is one of the most successful Final Fantasy series from SquareEnix (A big game company who owns famous game series such as dragon quest, front missions and sure, Final Fantasy etc.). This game has been published in 1991 with 1.3 million copies was sold! Everyone who owns the playstation console must know the name of this game! SquareEnix has revived this game again on a playstation portable in the name of “Final Fantasy Tactics : The war of the lions” with the additional contents, story lines, new jobs and more secret characters. Many of iOS guys should be sad and keep hoping about the time when this game will come to our iPad?! Now, the waiting is over! Let’s grasp your IPad it’s time for Final Fantasy Tactics IPad!!

Final Fantasy Tactics IPad is ported all contents from the PSP version, You will meet secret chracters such as “Balthier, the sky pirate” from final fantasy XII, “Luso” the adventurer from FFT 2 and more! in this version it offers 2 new jobs, “The onion knight” from Final Fantasy III and “the dark knight” from Final Fantasy IV. You will also find many new secret story lines as well (don’t want to tell you much is like a spoil!) Let’s try it yourself!

For those who just met Final Fantasy Tactics IPad for the first time, I would like to explain the basic gameplay a little bit. It is the simulator turn-based game which you can manage army. For human chracter, they will have a job which can be devided into two types “brave” & “faith”, Brave type are the jobs attacking enemies based on the physical attack, such as “Squire,Monk,Knight,Archer and more”. Faith type are the jobs attacking enemies using the magics such as “Mage,White Mage,Time Mage, Summoner,Calculator and more”.

As mentioned that jobs can be devided into two type, but the role of each jobs also different. Such as, White Mage is the class which cast the buff spell like protect to reduce the physical damage from enemies attacks. Chemist can throw items from a long distance to help party members and they can equip gun!

Are you ready for the battle yet? In Final Fantasy Tactics IPad, the battle turn is implemented with the AT (Active Time) system like in another Final Fantasy Series!, The character turns will start when their CT guage reaches “100″, if you have a character with a very low CT generation (Such as Calculator) in your party, let’s drop “Time mage” job there then cast the “haste” magic increase the CT generation rate!

The loots in Final Fantasy Tactics IPad, also another important thing that make players get addicted to this game. As you know, Final Fantasy is the game series which has a unique contents and diverse weapons and magic items in each episodes. Square Enix already gathered all of these things to Final Fantasy Tactics IPad!, You will find some legendary items like “Chaos Blade”,”Ragnarok” or the well known item like “Mythril Armor”,”Mythril Helmet” in this game!

In conclusion, Final Fantasy Tactics IPad is the good ported version the Final Fantasy Tactics : The war of the lions, for those who getting annoyed by the frame rate drops bug in PSP version should try this one. Regarding the new control to support IOS touch screen the way to pan or rotate camera is nice. However, regarding the buy/sell command in the shop still a little bit confuse. In terms of the graphic improvement, I could say that it suite to IPad and still contain all of the thing you ever experienced. By the way, If you already owned this game on IPhone, you should skip this game since it’s not much different from IPhone version.

I would like to rate this game as 4/5 STARS (Legendary game, Get it!!)
